Redskins and Eagles Both Looking to End Seasons With a Win
posted by nick in UncategorizedThe Philadelphia Eagles (7-8) will face the Washington Redskins (5-10) in an NFC East divisional match-up in their final game. Both organizations are at the bottom of the division records and have been eliminated from playoff contention this year. Philadelphia had a ton of media hype before the start of the season being labeled the dream team by making waves in the free agent market.
Washington Redskins running back Roy Helu is questionable to play once again with an injury to his toe. Their lack of depth at the ground game added to their weak offensive line will be difficult to overcome with key Eagles defensive players performing well such as defensive ends Jason Babin and Trent Cole. It will be up to Redskins QB Rex Grossman to have a phenomenal passing game for the team to have any kind of chance.
Despite both organizations not earning a playoff spot for the 2011 season, they still would love to finish on a positive note and come out with a win for the final game of the year. The Philadelphia Eagles are favored in this particular matchup to the underdog Washington Redskins with a line of -9. The over/under for the game is at 46.5.
